We are settling down in Wiltshire now, enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the green rolling hills. The dogs are still not used to actually having traffic go right past the door, but as it 12 cars and tractors a day in total - I am not complaining. We have been looking after the animals here that include Llamas, sheep, lambs, dogs, hens and now kittens.,. All good fun. We will be happy to look after other dogs just like we did in Wales and look forward to hearing from you.

My sadly neglected blog is now in need of an update and regular postings. We are now off to pastures new, so sorry to those people in Wales who will miss our Dog Care services, and Mick's carpentry and building skills. We are moving to the Wiltshire - Dorset border and will still be able to look after your dogs, if you live in the area.I am also able to offer Counselling for anyone bereaving the loss of a pet. We have had to come to terms with loosing one of our team earlier this year.
We lost I... Continue reading...

A whole month went by and not one entry on my blog, or a newsletter published. Well those of you who are interested if any will be pleased to know that I am writing a Newsletter now, and have started work on a book on dog Nutrition. So watch this space. I had hoped to raise more funds to donate to one of the dog charities this Christmas, but got started rather late and don't actually think I will manage to achieve a great amount this year.
I have updated the website, and will now keep everyone ... Continue reading...

Billy is a dog we have had with us for a few months now, but he has sadly not fitted in, and is now off to make another new start in Wallsall. We hope it works out for him, as he is a complex little dog - bless him! This morning is my uncle's funereal, and it has made me reflect on death again, as I often do. not because I am a morbid person but because having worked so closely with death since the age of 16. I have learnt that there are moments you can treasure when you think back over the lif... Continue reading...

We went along to Newtown dog club tonight and everyone was very proudly strutting their stuff under the encouraging gaze of Richard who runs it. There was a huge variety of dogs there, all loved by their owners, so it was lovely to see. We talked to one or two members who are quite interested in our services, and hopefully we will generate some business from it. It was also really nice to meet so many people who really do care about their dogs and love them all so much.Well done Richard and Kat... Continue reading...

I have worked out a new schedule now, that is perfect for all our dogs, and will go on to be my routine once we get more dogs. I take them out now at 6am, 12 midday, 3pm, 6pm, and 10pm.This seems to be working especially for the dogs that need a lot of input like dear little Polly - I have had to rename her, as I can't get on with Di Di, and being deaf it doesn't really matter, as it is a name for us more than her. She is forever exploring, and has done a few rounds of the house this morning ch... Continue reading...

At 6 this morning when Lilly got up and knocked on our door asking to go out it was still dark, but we dragged ourselves out of bed, and set upon the task of feeding and walking the dogs. Rather like children they seem to take it in turns of who is going to be good and who is going to be naughty. This morning it was Louis's turn - he disappeared off into the woods and didn't come back when called, so Mick had to go and look for him. When found he knew he was in the wrong and came to me instead,... Continue reading...

We have a few new dogs staying with us, and we are just babysitting them. All really lovely dogs that need a home.We are gluttons for punishment !It is certainly going to get me fit though, as indeed running the kennels will too. Walking the dogs up the track this morning, we watched a pink blanket drift across the sky, as dawn revealed another day.Early to bed and early to rise - makes a man healthy - wealthy and wise!We are wise enough - but I am not sure about the wealth that is yet to come! Well doesn't time fly when you are enjoying yourself. We were so busy yesterday collecting dogs and tractor tyres I didn't have time to write anything on here.Today I wouldn't say is calmer, but we are already more organised. We have 4 rescue dogs now, all of which need homes, and .all very different will certainly fit in somewhere. In the meantime we are going to get them sorted with the basics, like getting them house trained and able to walk on a lead - no mean feat in it's self!Still it is ...
