Welcome to Goose Barn
We would like to introduce ourselves, we are Mick and Penny Green, and live in Wiltshire.
We have recently moved here from Wales and now run a number of services for Dog and animal lovers.
Mick has lived in the countryside all his life, working as a Gamekeeeper, Builder and Carpenter.
He is passionate about country life and a walking Encyclopaedia on birds, plants, and all aspects of country lore. He used ride horses before dawn, walk dogs by the dozen, trundle behind terriers, keep ferrets, train Gun Dogs, and look after all sorts of animals from Ducks to Peacocks, and Partridges to Pigs..
He now runs rears partridges and Pheasants, builds stables, extensions, animal pens, and even houses , as well as putting his years of extensive knowledge to good use with the pets and animals we care for.
I am Penny, a Nurse, with experience in a variety of settings. I now manage the business, as well as utilising my counselling skills in bereavement and providing a service for pet owners .
I have owned dogs all my life, ridden horses and cared for a multitude of other pets from Stick Insects to Giant Tortoises. I have travelled extensively from South America to Italy, and my heart certainly resides in the depths of the countryside whether it is East, West, North or South.
Annie, our daughter in law lives in London and walks dogs for Battersea dogs home, she has also joined our team, and offers a dog walking service in SE London, as well as some pet sitting and day care.
